Well...

I went ~~snowboarding~~ falling in Kalamazoo, Michigan yesterday.

Probably spent more time on the ground than on the board, but it was all good fun =)

I wanna go snowboarding again, and this time I hope to be able to stay on the board more.

The bike shall come

It'll come all right. But first I need to go to Walmart again. I did go to Walmart on Monday, and I bought some stuff. I was thinking about getting my bike then, but then I realized, how am I going to transport my bike with shopping bags in my hands? I was buying my bike lock that day as well, and I also wondered, I have to run upstairs to my room to get a pair of scissors to cut open the bike lock packaging, and that means I have to leave my bike unattended. And I don't want to run the risk of getting my bike nicked on the day I bought it itself, so I didn't get my bike. =(

Oh well. I shall have a bike at the end of this week! (unless it snows really heavily and the roads are covered in a blanket of snow).

Well, I don't see the blanket of snow I thought I would see. And supposedly now it's already quite warm. I'm still cold though. You must excuse me, I just flew in from a tropical country.

Man =( It's been a great 3 weeks back here. Now I have to return to the states.. Last day in KL. Tonight will be spent in Changi.

An update from Malaysia

Well, it's been about 1 and a half weeks since I have returned, and it has been rather hectic. Been spending time with the Crystal, went for church camp, met up with some friends, and will be seeing Crystal off to NS tomorrow. All in all I think my time has been more or less well spent so far.

I'm going to miss that silly little girl though. I just realized, I don't even know when she'll be coming back. Time to text her and ask.

14th of March. Got it. Well, that's just about 2 and a half months. It's not too bad I guess. Time to find out how dependent on Crystal I have become.

Yeap, 1 more final left, and its tomorrow! Physics 213 at 1.30-3.30, and I'll be done for the semester! Then I'll be going home! I really cannot wait to go home.

On another note, I think I found another song I really like. It's called Dive by Steven Curtis Chapman. Go listen to it =) It's so upbeat and fast, and uplifting as well. Feel like singing along everytime I hear that song.

Oh well, study time!

Finals Approaching

Well, there're no classes tomorrow. Maybe I'm going to wake up early ~~and play videogames. Not my fault that videogames are so fun.~~ Hard to believe it but my semester's almost over. And I'm almost about to come home! All I need to do is get through Friday, Monday and Wednesday and I'll be free!

I'm coming home soon! Can't wait to see everyone! You guys all know who you are =)

On another note, it snowed today. It was probably the coldest day I encountered over here so far. I actually took out my winter jacket today. It kept me warm. =)

Ok, this is weird

It's 1.29am and I'm feeling extremely tempted to do my homework. And the strangest thing is, I actually get satisfaction from doing homework. I enjoy doing homework. *gasp*

Whatever has become of me? I used to be one of those normal kids who hate homework. Now I actually enjoy the challenge. I still don't like having a lot of homework, so I'm not yet completely over the edge yet.

I actually enjoy lessons greatly as well, because I actually feel like I'm actually learning something. And it gives me a sense of satisfaction knowing that. Learning is fun! =) And after coming here do I realize how much more interesting learning actually can be compared to back home.

The only problem here are my grades =( I can't seem to do well in exams, yet I seem to be doing reasonably well in class. I really don't know why. Maybe I need to work harder.

It's getting a bit colder around here

I think that I can safely say that autumn has arrived here on campus. I'm not too sure of the exact designated dates of the changing of seasons, but it's certainly starting to look the part of autumn. It's getting a bit windy, there are leaves all over the ground, and the trees are starting to bald. And oh yes, the temperature has dropped quite a bit this week, it now ranges from just below 10 to the low 20's degrees C.

Having said that, it actually still doesn't feel that cold, and it's possible to go out in just a t-shirt and shorts. A lot of people though have resorted to wearing jackets, but there are a few who still wear their summer clothes. In the afternoons and evenings you don't actually feel cold, it's the nights that really feel cold. But that's if you walk out into the open at night, my dorm room's quite warm.

Today will probably be quite a cold day, since we have rain forecasted, and it actually looks like it's going to rain outside. So far I experienced two extremely heavy showers, the first on the day I arrived, which made the bus ride extremely cold, and the second a few weeks back, when it rained so heavily that a few blocks away, Newman Hall's power generators got flooded. I wonder how the rain's going to turn out today.

Well, I guess that's enough of an update for now, I'll post an update when I feel like =) Writing something always calms me down.

Wow! An update

I have come to this lonely blog of mine with an update, solely because there hasn't been an update here for weeks. I originally meant to update this blog regularly when I first started it, but evidently, I have not been doing so.

Currently, I'm sitting in the rec room in the tunnels, waiting for my laundry to finish washing. How has life here been? It's been quite fine, I suppose. It's still summer, so the weather's still fine. It gets a bit hot in my room at times since there's no AC, but that's not something that will be required come winter.

Hmm.. I would have thought that my laundry would have been done by now. Maybe it will be in a short while. Oh wells, that shall be all for now. I'm lazy to upload pics here though, it takes a bit too much time.

If there's anything I'm addicted to (besides coffee), it's shirt. I love obtaining new shirts. I love keeping shirts. And the best part is, I can wear shirts. And I love the fact that I already received 3 shirts. Keep the shirts coming, U of I! One from my dorm, one from the uni itself, and one from the recreation centre, as there's a block party going on there.

This is a very picture intensive post. You've been warned.

Well, basically, my morning was spent attending double services. And I tried catching some AV people to take pictures with =)

Well, I only managed to catch those 2 in the morning, everyone else disappeared so fast. But maybe that was because I was packing up then. Went for lunch with the short one (Crystal) at Jaya One after that.

After that, had to go back home and finish up my last minute packing. Wen Jo dropped by to grab Eden's card which she so smartly left in my house. Then had to rush to the airport.
